Hey, just introducing myself to the forums. I love horrorclix and I used to collect and play with them, though I couldn't find anyone else to help play with me. I loved pretty much everything about the game except the fact that the characters, such as the werewolves and other creatures were stereotyped to be the "bad guys" and meant to kill and rend horror victims. I personally thought that should be the players decision whether they wanted to play either "good" or "evil"; like instead you declare your werewolf would save a victim rather than kill him. Anyhow I was curious and decided I'd ask a few questions.
First is to ask if people are still on this forum.
Second is, in your opinion what makes a really good horror story?
Third, what do you think gives powers, such as Telekinesis, Pyromancy, Necromancy, Mutation or any other form of "superpower" that really horrifying dramatic feel? Plus if we were to tie such powers into "schools" what would they be?
Fourth I think is something you'd be curious about, I found this miniature, can't show the picture but I can describe it. It was a ghost hunter, he was blonde, had a radio and was Caucasian in race. He wore the same outfit as the African American and a protector but get this, he was apart of the Hellbent faction. Now I don't know if I had a really rare miniature but I figured I'd get some info on it.

First Question-There are people here some of lurking waiting for fresh blood
Second Question- I don't know what makes a good "Horror" story. I just like a good story. I guess I likethe conflict some of my favorite "horror" is Godzilla (big surpise) all era and the Original cartoon, Aliens vs. Predator (I own the movie but I still watch anytime I find it on TV), Marvel Zombies, DC Black Lanterns and classical Universal Monsters.
Thrid Question-I like the power and this game is very open to adding powers
Fourth Question- I don't know that figure. I know there a Causasian GhostFINDER but he doesn't have Hellbent as cabal it may be a mistake or you may have find a new clix. Where did you find it?

Welcome! We are always welcoming of new members, though the boards tend to be pretty slow due to lack of interest, lack of support from WK in making new product. However, Sarcanis does do a lot of maintenence with his revised & updated HrC 2.0, and some of his HrCOL (Horrorclix On-Line). He might be available to play.

Whether or not I get a chill in my gut or in my bones. Lovecraft tends to do just that for me, personally.

Never gave it much thought. These would have to be simply tools for a writer's toolbox, I would imagine, and how these are USED would make or break the horror feel.

I believe that would be the Ghost Hunter (V), and the Hellbound cabal is a misprint, and was erratta'ed to ignore that. Here is a direct link to the .pdf of that erratta. Other Ettatta and so on can be found here.

Welcome, as brother MEsch said, the boards are a bit slow during this period but there is a bunch of die hard horrorclixers here that browse the forums regularly and thirst for some fresh blood as well as occasional people who drop by our place for some time.
I will second Lovecraft's stories as some really good horror material, but i also love the regular slasher stories too.
I too cannot play the game regularly, but i get satisfied just by looking at my minis and thinking of possible horror scenarios for future plays. The modding part, which i am just getting into, is also a very refreshing idea for this game especially if you share your thoughts on new minis with other horrorclixers here.

And to anyone with the problem of not being able to find games, I suggest getting together online and playing HorrorClix Online (link in my sig). Or, if the visual element of the sculpts is a necessity for you, I've played this game via webcam before. One person just has to set up the board and move the pieces according to the other's instructions. Either way it takes a little work but it's well worth it once you get into a game.
MEsch's link is long dead since WizKids no longer wants anything to do with HorrorClix, but here's a direct Mediafire link to the very last Errata & Clarification document. There are a couple of big things in here that a lot of people never see, like all Super Rares being unique and possessed monsters being able to take actions even if they have two action tokens, so I think it's pretty important to keep archived (and it's not on the main site for some reason....)
Thanks for the latest errata Sarcanis, there are indeed things i didn't have in mind before while playing. I believe the visual element of the sculpts is really a necessity for me since they are what hooked me in horrorclix and kept me in, but times change and i may have to give HrCOL a try or be tempted to buy a cam

Great, new mods will give some fresh air to the site
A sneak peek of some of ones know will be posted properly this weekend are a mod of BLG Demonic CEO, a Were-Stag, some more 3-D minions and I think I will be making some Legend of Korra clixs (Korra,Amon,Equalist with Shock sticks maybe Mako as Fireman (a joke his backstory sound like Batman's) )
