To better help manage this, if you find your avatar's AWOL, post your problem here. In the meantime, make back-ups and/or save links if you hold your avatar near & dear. Any additional information on this issue will be found here.

One detail that I negelcted to mention publicly: I realistically can't do much about your lost avatar, even as a Mod. All I can say is that we're looking to track & address this issue.

If one is adding a new avatar, it's helpful to keep in mind this following guideline. Sadly, I can't change that feature of the boards.
