GREAT BOOK - HABEAS CORPSES
Habeas Corpses by Wm. Mark Simmons
I saw this book in the Post Exchange. I had to buy it for several reasons. The cover illustration shows a red-head Vampire in leather holding a shotgun. (that's at least 3 good reasons right there). Also the Title of teh bok is great since i work in the legal field.
PLUS - It's actually a good read. By page 150, it has already had Zombie neighbors, Vampire clans fighting, a werewolf, patchwork creatures originating from the Wizard of Oz, nanotechnology, hypnotic emails and a hybrid half-vampire/demon-blooded/"some other third thing" protagonist.
It's apparently the third book of four. Usually, I try to read these types of things in order, but I could not wait.
Oh, it also has a "Gator Man" traeter in Louisiana, some type of voodoo connections, Asian feline-vampire, Zombies watching Alli McBeal, a haunting by an ex-wife and the afore-mentioned red-head (who is apparently not quite a vampire or human after drinking the protagonists blood).
Good stuff - vamps, garou, mad scientists, "frankenstein" monsters and zombies. . .
