DEFEND THE CAERN (WEREWOLF SCENARIO)
DEFEND THE CAERN
Scenario by tylerdrake
BACKGROUND:
Your werewolf pack has tracked the Wyrm Creatures to a powerful Caern.
If any Wyrm creature survives they will desecrate the Caern
None may escape. You must kill them all or die trying.
OBJECTIVE -
Last Monster on the board wins (or until only one side has surviving monsters)
ARMY SIZE -
300 points recommended (2-4 players as along as the points are equal for all sides)
Only monsters with Transform, Rage or similiar power requiring flipping the card and turning to the red line (No Predators)
TIME LIMIT - none
MAP - Graveyard (or other map)
SETUP - normal
SPECIAL SCENARIO RULES -
Nature of the Beast - Characters can choose to transform as normal or treat KO clicks between forms as Hourglasses.
OPTIONAL SPECIAL SCENARIO RULES -
Feel the Burn - Both sides take Push Damage (like in Heroclix) when given a second action token. This can come from taking actions two turns in a row or from any other source. (The Monster gets pissed off or has to expend more energy resisting possession or similar powers.) Pushing Damage is one click of unpreventable damage.
Note that a monster can take a maximum one click of Push Damage per player's turn.
Power Corrupts - To speed up the game even further, have each monster automatically take damage at the beginning of the owner's turn to reflect the power building to a crescendo. Escape is not an option. EVERYONE dies as their heads and hearts explode (going to the Final KO in the sky). Last monster to die wins.
Eat the Enemy - Every creature that has been ?Transformed? gains the FEAST power (optional).
If a creature already has Feast, they gain two clicks for a successful use.
NOTES -
I just thought of an all Werewolf+ Scenario. . . and wanted to share.
To show how dominant Werewolves really are we should let them start on their starting clicks and take damage or Push to their dial, treating the KO click as an hourglass during which they transform.
The reason for using all Werewolves (or other transformation characters) is to offset the price cost for transforming characters.
Other characters could be used - maybe with 20% more points on the non-transformation side(?)
Special scenerio rule also allows poor Runaways to actually get some use as they become children of the Wyrm.
Jack The Ripper could also be used, but he might be game-unbalancing
This scenario can be re-tooled to reflect an invasion of the Steel Fangs den. . . but I didn't want to use the Den without permission. . .
HHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLL
Thus speaks Sundowner of the Wendigo
