Virlulent Lycanthropy... or why do I have fleas? |
|
Background- Disease, like any other organism, has its ebb & flow, where it is virulent and spreads to epidemic proportions, and others when it is dormant, almost forgotten, like H1N1 bird flu. This is true not just for the mundane, but the fantastic, and this includes lycanthropy!
Objective- Stop the spread of lycanthropy! ...or not...
Army Size- 400 to 600 recommended. One player should play werewolves; SubPlot: Lycanthropy is a bonus crypt PT for this player. Opposing player(s) gain +100 points for build total & +1 PT for the crypt.
Optional- all players can play werewolves, but are of competing clans...
Time Limit- 60 minutes (optional).
Map- Any Horrorclix map (with the requisite victim blood spots).
Optional- a retrofitted Heroclix map with the blood spots added in a "fair" manner. Recognizing here that "fair" here is HIGHLY subjective...
Setup- 6 victims, 6 werewolf minions; mixed together.
Special Scenario Rules- If the non-werewolf player reveals a werewolf minion during the suspense phase, the werewolf minion is friendly to the werewolf player. The non-werewolf player may NOT select another victim. In the "werewolves vs. werewolves" variant, the werewolf minions are to be marked according to player-control. Non-werewolf players may have multiple copies of the PT Reversion Serum; which can be used to revert werewolf minions to regular victims.

Very nice MEsch.
Why does the opposing army (non-werewolf) gain +100 points towards to total army build? |
Because the victim pool is cut in half & seeded with 6 Werewolf minions that are friendly to the Werewolf player.
@godzilla: Thanks, brother!

But this - "Non-werewolf players may have multiple copies of the PT Reversion Serum; which can be used to revert werewolf minions to regular victims." - should balance things out, partner. I know it's optional, but they are still allowed to pack multiples of one single card in their crypt.
....I'd definitely want to be a human in this scenario.

True, but the Subplot: Lycanthropy could revert the reverted victims back to minions... Either way, I kind of just cranked it out off-the-top-of-my-head, and will freely admit that this needs to be play-tested.

Hmmm... Really? I would lean myself towards the Werewolves, but what do I know? Like I said, I freely admit that this needs to be play-tested.
