As many of you know, I play guitar. In fact, I'm just about ready to print off some fliers and look for a local bassist and drummer to play with.
Personally, I think playing a musical instrument is one of the best things you can do to better yourself, right behind going to college. Music connects to so so many things you'd never think of, it's crazy.

I play guitar, bass and cello (tuned in 4ths). I have played in a few bands over the years. I have played keyboards and percussion on various songs but not good enough to do it full time. I am hoping to start a psychobilly band this summer.

I am (more so was, now) a classical musician. I played the trumpet mostly. But I can read music for, and play all brass instruments (including trombone), the piano, the violin, the oboe, and clarinet. I have played all these instruments at some point for an audience. I played in Cincinnati?s chamber orchestra for 6 months, and in Cincinnati?s symphony orchestra once, under the direction of Erick Kunzel. (That was the high point of my career.) It ended that same summer when I took a batted fastball I pitched to the mouth, in a pick-up game of baseball. I became a Mechanical Engineer after that disappointment.
I can also play all woodwinds but not as well as the above-mentioned instruments, and never for an audience.

GOOD LUCK! I love psychobilly. I'm the guitarist in a "gothabilly" band here in Pittsburgh.

IMO retro horror rock would probably be a more apt description, wordy as it is. We have a rockabilly-surf-garage-cowpnk sound with horror-themed lyrics. It's a ton of fun. I know we'll never get rich doing it, but this is 100% just for fun. I gave up on trying to make a living at music years ago. And I've found I enjoy being in a band much more since then.
